Seacrest Lodge Reviews

We cannot fault anything about the property or our stay at Seacrest Lodge. It was an ideal location for our Sten weekend and we loved every moment. The house was perfect for the size of our party 18 plus 2 dogs, and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the space, while being altogether. It was very clean and tidy, within a handy walking distance to the sea front. Thank you so much, well definitely be coming back!
An ideal location for us with six grandchildren and their fathers. The hot tub and garden were a big hit with the kids. We had a great walk along the cliffs to Cayton Bay. Easy distance to Scarborough via Park and Ride and Seamer train station.

Really spacious property , enclosed rear garden for the dogs. Plenty of kitchen utensils pots pans plates for large groups 2 fridges washer dryer dishwasher, great little hideaway room off the kitchen 2 bedrooms have ensuites plenty of parking on private driveway and no permits required which is a bonus around Scarborough. Only a short drive to Morrisons Tesco Lidl really homely feel we had 10 adults 4 kids and 3 dogs and felt like we had loads of space bedroom 4 was a surprise we missed this on first inspection through the double garage . The bungalow was lovely and warm and easy to use heating system plenty of towels available to use and choice of beds great for larger groups
Got the year off to a fantastic start spending a weekend with the family at this property. House lovely and clean and well equipped. Enough rooms for people to have their own space during the day but a lovely big living room to be together at night. Quiet location plenty to do near by. Nice of the owners to contact us and make sure everything was okay on arrival and also made themselves available if required over the weekend. Would definitely book again.
We really enjoyed our stay and were particularly impressed by the attentive owners. The house is very well set up for young children with the stair gate making it secure. As well as features of cot, changing table and highchair. Sound proofing across rooms is also good, with music playing in living areas bedrooms were still almost silent. The hot tub very much added to our levels of relaxation.
The owners were really responsive and checked in with us to ensure the property was in good condition and we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!
The is a lovely and luxurious home and I am pleased I picked it to celebrate my 50th birthday with family and friends. All 20 of us stayed for 2 nights in total comfort. Good location and proximity to all local amenities and the beautiful beach. We managed to park 5 salon vehicles in the property without blocking each other which was very ideal. The kitchen is well fitted with all necessary appliances. The house has plenty of sitting areas garden, conservatory, dining room, living room. The hot tub was amazing. Owner Phil and Sam were on call and very helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property and will return if possible. Thank you Phil and Sam.

Family of 12 stayed for a long weekend, including 2 under 4 years and 2 dogs. Seacrest was comfortable and well equipped. Owner made contact to check all was well. Everyone slept well . Additional fridge was very useful. Convenient location. 30 45 minute walk into the centre toddler pace. Couldnt find instructions for the dish washer. Great stay
Gillian
Fantastic property. We booked this property to celebrate a 21st birthday as a family. Plenty of rooms and ideal for a family of 13 adults 2 child 1 baby, ranging in age from 69 years old to 7 months and 3 fur babies. The facilities were excellent and accommodated all our needs. We enjoyed being in a property big enough to sit down in the beautiful dining room and enjoy a family meal altogether. The youngster had a fun time in the hot tub relaxing after the beautiful costal walks so close to the property. The host call to make sure we were happy and everything was ok which was a lovely personal touch. I would highly recommend this accommodation for exploring Scarborough but more importantly it is perfect for a big family get together and making happy memories.
Salyann
We all had a lovely stay. A nice homely feel to the house and a great location. The host were very helpful. Many thanks
A large comfortable chalet bungalow. well equipped. Loads of bedrooms of various size and with various facilities. Large dining room and large kitchen with all appliances. Owner came just after we arrived to make sure we were settling in OK, and contacted us during the week to make sure everything was OK. Comfortable stay.
Hannah
Lovely accommodation and perfect location for going to the beach
We stayed as a party of 18 from 18 months to 84 years Jack Russell last week of August. Ample parking for 4 cars, gravel drive 2 small steps to front door not a big problem for two with mobility problems. Ground floor with two bath rooms and ensuite no mobility problems. One remote single bedroom enjoyed by occupant who could get away from the others when needed! 3 people had August Birthdays which we celebrated in the lounge with 3 cakes and 3 This is Your Life videos displayed on the 57 inch Smart TV bluetoothed to a laptop. Ample seating space. Dining room more than adequate space and seating and used for evening games and a Snug Room if you wanted to read while others watched the TV. All in all a very good family get together and break.

Absolutely loved our stay at Seacrest Lodge last week 12th August 2924 ! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality by Phil and Sam who came to personally welcome us, The house is a beautifully maintained property. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, offering stunning views of the surrounding nature. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detailthe fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed, and the cozy living area with a fireplace made our evenings extra special. The outdoor space was a dream, with a private hot tub and a barbecue area where we enjoyed several lovely meals. The location was ideal, providing a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions and scenic spots. We loved exploring the nearby hiking trails which were absolutely breathtaking and then returning to the lodge to unwind. Phil and Sam went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, they answered all our questions around the clock, literally giving us 24 hours service. They really are amazing hosts! They made our stay so comfortable and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time! We couldnt have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this lodge as it is absolutely perfect for a holiday!
Allison
We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights from 4th of August. This was a family gathering ranging from 3 years to 92 years old. The owners are very responsive for any queries and full instructions for keys prior to arrival. The lodge and the weather was perfect! We were able to make use of the wrap around garden which was an amazing safe space for kids and family games and the hot tub was perfect! The lodge is spacious and had everything we needed. Very clean with bedding and towels included. There was ample parking spaces on the drive for our 5 large cars. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting large family accommodation close to Scarborough centre.
Timothy
The property was very spacious, like a tardis! It was superb for my family get together to celebrate my 60th. It wasnt immaculate, but, to be honest I was pleased it wasnt, if it had been a show house I would have been worried all the time about bumps and knocks. The welcome pack, with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, dishwasher tablets etc was a fantastic idea. We loved our time here and made some very happy family memories. It was the hottest weekend of the year so far, the house it self was very hot, opened every opening windows. Maybe a fan here and there wouldnt be a bad idea. I dont know how it would be done, but gates on the drive might be a good idea, to help keep the little ones penned in. But overall I would describe the house and our stay there as excellent.
Hayley
Had a great stay here, very spacious and clean for our big family. Thanks to Phil and Samantha who are very helpful when required. Lot of information in the property of things to do.
We have just returned from a lovely friends weekend away for my partners 40th. The property is lovely and in an ideal location to for a short walk to the beach. The rooms were great and the hot tub is lovely too. Will definitely be re booking with the family and highly recommend this property to my family and friends.
Fantastic spacious accommodation. Lots of room for wee ones to run around. Great hot tub.
Kieren
Great place for big groups as it's very spacious and with lots of beding. Good distance from town centre. New smart TV installed which is huge with great surround sound. Big dining spaces and good kitchen utilities. Would really recommend.
15 of us stayed spanning 4 generations. A great location, very close to the Cleveland way coastal path and a nice 15 minute walk to the centre of Scarborough. The house itself was clean and tidy with all the facilities as described. Hot tub was great and was nice and warm on arrival. All in all a great stay.
Jocelyn
Excellent accommodation. We had family members from 3 to 80 years of age. Everyone really enjoyed their stay. The owners are very approachable too. No issues at all with the property. Would definitely book again.
Judith
Overall a good value stay for a large party of mixed ages. Quiet road, garden and hot tub enjoyed by all, a bit too highly chlorinated for little onesmaybe that can be adjusted? Lounge with adjoining room most suitable to supervise children at play without losing out on grownup togetherness. Owners' communication before and during stay were very prompt and always helpful. Only wish I had asked a little sooner Could do with better cutlery for more enjoyment of meals, rather campingstyle , but not a problem as such.
There were 19 of us, adults and children. We were all very comfortable. The kids loved the hot tub and the space in the cottage. The location was excellent and accessible to all surrounding areas and amenities. We had such an amazing holiday and will definitely be returning. The owners were fab and welcomed feedback. Sometimes you need a holiday to get over a holiday but not this one we all feel relaxed and recuperated. Thank you for a lovely stay. Five stars all around
Christine
Our first impression was that the house was spacious and clean. However, having looked around, there were some major issues with cleaning and maintenance. Other peoples dog poo bags were left outside by a plant pot and poo in the rear garden, which we cleaned up. The cigarette butt holder was rammed full and butts had fallen onto the ground. There were cobwebs in most rooms which had been there for some time along with higher level dust. Kitchen pansgrill tray still had fatfood residue and some plates were not clean. We had to wash before using some. One cooker top was splattered in fat. One bedroom had peanuts under the bed. Toilet brushesholders were all filthy, one had poo in the brush. The spa bath plug was full of hair, which we had to remove for the water to drain and the same with the downstairs shower room. This shower was also mouldydirty and the tray moved when it was stood on it had a mat stuck to it with sealant which looked disgusting. The shower in the ensuite to bedroom 3 had a pungent, stagnant water smell and we bought bleach to get rid of the smell which had crept into the bedroom. The upstairs ensuite shower tray was in the same condition as the downstairs shower room but also had a rusty shower pipe and rust on the door and light. We also found as a previous review last October the same issue with the fridgefreezer doors being joined together which made the freezer ice up and unusable. Two trays on the fridge door were cracked. The lounge door was missing its catch so could not be closed. Snug door was tricky to lockunlock. DVD player was not connected and, when plugged in, did not work. We had to buy batteries for the remote controls which did not workmissing. When going into the back entrance, the door mat is not thick enough for its inset and is a trip hazard. None of the extractor fans work. The bedroom across the garage needs another light in the garage to illuminate the steps when leaving that bedroom. The WC upstairs has a broken tap and light fitting which is taped up. The heating control has been changed and the heating is only on for 6 hours a day being controlled by the owners phone. As we had snow one night it was cold for the 1 year old in our party so contacted the owner who said he would put it on constant, but never did. He turns the heating off in April according to the welcome book, which is outdated. On a positive note, the property is spacious and well equipped, the owner is approachable and visited before we left to hear our concerns. He has, apparently, now spoken to his cleaners and changed the broken tap. We do have photos of the issue mentioned.
Judith

Had an amazing time at seacrest lodge everything for a great holiday would highly recommend it to anyone back garden totally secure for furbabies will be looking to book again thank you to the owners for being so attentive to make sure everything was ok we had a full house but still plenty of room thanks again
Kayleigh
The property is amazing and fit our 3 families in with ease. The rooms were very spacious and light. It is well stocked with cutlery and utensils which is a huge bonus when you are trying to cook for 13 people. The only thing I would say about that is that some of it has seen better, such as the tin openers and some of the scissors. Might be worth having a quick look at when you get chance!
We were delighted to find that this cottage exactly matched the description on the website and easily accommodated our party of 7 adults and 8 children between the ages of 3 and 13. A manageable walk to the nearest beach for the little ones and plenty of activities a short drive away for the older ones. We would heartily recommend it.
We had a great week at Seacrest Lodge. The directions took us directly to the cottage and the location was great, with just a 30 min walk into Scarborough town centre or front via the coastal path. The facilities were perfect to fit our requirements and we were very grateful for the milk, tea and coffee supplied for our arrival.
Brilliant property for large group getaways and perfectly located to walk to Scarborough seafront or town centre.
Rachel
We had a great time and the property is ideal for a large party. The hot tub is a fab addition and we got plenty of use out of it. Plenty of sitting areas inside and outside for our large party and lots of well equipped bedrooms a couple ensuite. My only criticism was some of the furniture is a little tired and some of the mattresses and bedding could go with replacing. But those are minor considerations and I would definitely use the property again.
Angela
The only small critique would have been secure gates on the front of the property for small children.
Andrew
Fantastic weekend had by all. The property was exactly as listed and all our guests loved it. Would recommend.
Michelle
We had an excellent time. It made my husbands 60th birthday really memorable
Jackie
Great place to stay. It was so cosy for our early Xmas get together with all the family. The house was decorated with 3 lovely Christmas trees and we instantly got into the Christmas spirit. The kids enjoyed the Santa express and we had a trip to the fantastic Alpamare waterpark which was brilliant. It was so relaxing and wed do it all over again. Jackie Garnsey
