Beverley
Loved our New Year break here comfortable, very pleasant and location great
Felicity
We were pleased to have a downstairs bedroom as being disabled we would never have managed the stairs. Not so pleased to have to walk through the kitchen to visit the bathroom especially at night. We found the shower handle almost impossible to turn off as it was so stiff. It would be good to have instructions for the oven as being technically challenged we all found turning on the oven a bit difficult as the symbols only showed for a moment. The heating was also rather temperamental however when we contacted maintenance they sorted any problem straight away Our dogs were well catered for, lots of throws and treats. The cottage was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Maureen
The only comment would be, the garden is not small dog friendly, our dog kept escaping through the hedge and gate. It wouldnt take much to rectify this.
Hi, We really enjoyed our stay at the pheasantry. Lovely and cosy and had everything we needed while there. Definitely booking to stay again. Thankyou
Tiffany
The property was in a lovely location, with all amenities provided we enjoyed a well needed break away as a family of 5. However we were rather disappointed with the Hot tub as after 3 days the water smelt like a pond, it was clear the maintenance team had not been to add more chlorine, as on arrival the water smelt clean with chlorine. We did feel the overall cleanliness was okay but could be improved, there are many cobwebs in the lighting. As advised we had to leave the place clean and tidy, on trying to hoover the floor there was no suction from the hoover, this was because it was totally full, it had no been emptied in a long time. We did empty it to leave the place clean, not that we should have needed to. Regrettably due to the above points made I don't think we will be returning.
The cottage on first sight was lovely. However it was not cleaned to good standards. There was no brushes or mood for wood flooring. Overall it was not clean and was off putting. The gate out up to help keep the dogs in was dangerous in the wind and there was numerous gaps in hedges. Garden was not lashed but overgrown and untidy.
Good location for accessing East Coast resorts and exploring East Yorkshire. Easy to walk into Flamborough and shop, P.O. cafes, Fish & chips etc. Good outdoor space and hottub. Kitchen well equipped and comfortable sittingdining room. Lovely upstairs bedrooms, but less comfort downstairs room bare cold floor, clothes storage & hanging not ideal and could do with a chair. Shame the downstairs shower room couldn't be accessed from the bedroom.
Anthony
We were a party of 6 adults, including 3 dogs, and we liked the basket of dog towels and treats left for dogs before we arrived. Clean and wellfurnished house. Ideal location for exploring Flamborough and surrounding area. Lots of friendly advice and information before getting to house from Sykes, which was appreciated. We didnt know this area well, but Bempton Cliff Nature Reserve is just stunning, and the beaches around Hummanby are massive and all dog friendly.
Thank you for exceeding our expectations! ! Danielle went out of her way to secure the garden for us which was great for our 3 dogs,
Catherine
The garden needs some work I realise it is winter & its such a shame it isnt secure, it could be so beautiful. The hot tub was lovely with towels supplied which is great. The windows would not open which was concerning in the event of a fire. Really needed coat pegs downstairs nowhere to hang several wet coats after a walk. The house was well equipped lovely box of supplies for the dogs. Comfortable beds. Overall a pleasant stay. Thank you.
