The Pheasantry Reviews

Christopher
Beautifully built, furnished and decorated. Nice, private yards back and front. Lovely gardens. The devil was in the details. In a country cottage in an area good for walking and beaches, you need a boot room or at least hooks to hang coats and somewhere to dry shoes, clothes etc. The kitchen is a little underequipped no racks in oven poor quality corkscrew.... Lighting in living room difficult for reading and you can't turn off separately the wall light above the TV screen. Heating is EXCELLENT!
Louise
Loved our stay. Beautiful setting and cottage.
Michelle
The property was exactly as it appeared, it was beautifully presented with all the amenities described. The location is ideal for a relaxing getaway and The Pheasantry has the added benefit of a private Hot Tub courtyard at the back
Lesley
Amazing stay,
A great stay, lovely accommodation.
Joanne
Amazing holiday beautiful surrounding. The place has absolutely everything we needed to have an amazing holiday.....wish we booked for 2 weeks. Will definitely be back, best holiday we have had in this country. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing holiday. Owners so friendly and helpfulshould be proud of the service they provide. Hot tub is an added bonus this place is spotless beds are comfortable and the shower is out this world. Just perfect!!!
A lovely place to stay. Will be returning in the future. However, A small freezer would have been helpful, especially on the hottest day of the year.
Andrew
The cottage is in a quiet idyllic farm location, which is spacious, clean and well equipped. It's in easy reach of the coast and attractions.
Literally couldnt fault the cottage. All as advertised, great facilities, perfectly clean and comfortable, a lovely home away from home.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Pheasantry and didnt want to leave The cottage was comfortable and very clean It was a real home from home and everything we needed had been provided The hot tub was a bonus after a busy day out walking . We will be recommending it to our family and friends
Jackie
We had such a lovely relaxing stay . Everything we could of wished for
We had a problem with the shower on the first Saturday. One phone call and a few hours later while we were out. On our return a new one was fitted. Excellent service.
Patio area not dog secure so could escape and bother farm animals
Fantastic cottage, very modern, clean, comfortable and fantastic location made this the perfect location for exploring the best of the North Yorkshire Moors. Steph and Nick were really friendly and took time to show us around the farm area which we really enjoyed. Definitely be back!
Fantastic place and setting would highly recommend to family and friends. Superb hosts and friendly family pets made us feel welcomed! Place was spotless and we felt right at home here. Only suggestion would be to have a few extra of crockery, mugs, glasses, cutlery so not having to wash up so often. Hot tub was awesome and extremely well maintained for cleanliness and hygiene. Beautiful garden, we felt like we were in Spain! A perfect stay in a perfect location.
Cheryl
Stayed as a family of 4 with 2 children. Lovely cottage situated on a great setting in the countryside. Beautifully decorated. Very comfy beds! Great location, only a 10 minute drive to Scarborough. Hot tub was great, kids loved it. Had a minor issue with hot tub during stay, text owners and they were there in 10 minutes and sorted it. Excellent!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Andrew
We booked this holiday last minute as our honeymoon to Turkey was cancelled due to COVID. Absolutely loved the cottage and the farm it is located on. We had a lovely relaxing 4 nights for our honeymoon. The hot tub just capped everything off.

Kitchen could be better equipped. Hair in shower drain plug.

Caroline

Sharon
We had a great time. Very relaxing. Lots of local attractions within easy travelling.
Amazing cottage with all the facilities you need. Modern but very cosy. Hot tub was a fab luxury.
Louise
Beautiful cottage in a lovely area close to beaches and amenities, great ... Beautiful cottage in a lovely area close to beaches and amenities, great location, lovely hot tub and log burner with great hosts
Great rural location but at the same time is only a short drive to various places to visit. Clean on arrival, welcome pack and starter pack for fire included. Owners are on site if any issues but aren't in any way intrusive. Hot tub was bigger than we expected and was a real luxury after lots of walking. Log burner makes it very cosy and was just the right size for the size of the room. The cottage is decorated to a high standard and the kitchen has a good supply of utensils etc. We will definitely be returning. We have a lot of short cottage breaks and this was one of the best!
Patricia
Beautiful cottage and surroundings. Hot tub was a big bonus too as we were in it every day. We chose here to stay as we both needed time to unwind and that is what was achieved. The owners Nick and Stephanie have done themselves proud.
Lovely house, close to Scarborough, Filey, Cayton and Bridlington. Hot tub and log burner great
Was very relaxing just what we wanted
A lovely cosy cottage with an added bonus of a very relaxing hot tub. Lot's of different places to visit that were only short distances away. We would love to return to The Phesantry.
The accommodation was fantastic and met our every need. The location was ideal with attractions within a short journey and peace and quiet on the doorstep. The hosts were on hand if you needed then but kept a respectful distance. Overall a brilliant family break away. Have already recommended the place to two people.
We had a great holiday at The Pheasantry. The weather was great. The cottage is delightful. The hot tub was a real treat and used daily. The only downside was that we didnt book two weeks! We would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay near Scarborough. We will be recommending it to our friends and we would definitely book this cottage again. The hosts were lovely too. Thank you for a memorable holiday.
This was a lovely cottage full of furnishings of a beautiful standard. The beds might be a little firm for some but we were all very comfortable on them. A few suggestions for future consideration would be an indoor sweeping brush, replacement airer as there are parts missing from the current one, access to a washing machine and a small freezer. Please note that this did not distract the enjoyment of our holiday at all but would've been useful. Being in the country it was a great base to explore the Yorkshire Coast so we filled our days visiting the surrounding coastline and pretty inland villages. Although the owners live next door they are respectful of the holiday cottages privacy but on hand should you need assistance. I would highly recommend The Pheasantry at Riggs Head Farm, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you for a lovely holiday.
Hayley
I would recommend the pheasantry to anyone! ! Absolutely stunning... the surrounds are perfect for a peaceful getaway! The owners were fab!! Very accommodating and lovely people!! I will definitely be booking a return visit!!
Michelle
The Pheasantry was absolutely beautiful! Modern with a vintage look to it. The owners Steph and Nick were very nice and were quick to help you if you had any enquires. They also provided us with some free chocolate chip cookies on arrival The location was out of the way and very relaxing, however, it was still easy to access the nearby shops. The only two things I can comment on negatively is that when arriving at the cottage, I looked in the plug hole of the shower and it was full of someone elses hair. The other thing is that they do not provide you with a washing machine which would of been really handy but wasnt a major problem. I know the owners get in a cleaner to clean these holiday homes so this is not their fault but the cleaners. We really really enjoyed our stay here and I would defiantly recommended to families and couples who want a nice stay.
Brenda
The Cottage is beautiful inside and out including the Got tub and nothing is to much trouble for the owners who would go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Will definitely recommend to everyone and will be going back myself soon.
Just returned from a fantastic break at the Pheasantry. The quality and finish of the property was simply excellent. The owners were extremely friendly without being intrusive. Will definitely be returning, cannot recommend the cottage enough.
Graham
This cottage exceeded our expectations. Fantastic location, extremely comfortable and the luxury of relaxing in a hot tub each evening was a real bonus. Thanks.
The holiday was brill from start to finish. My 4 year old loved every minute especially when she got to go on to the farm. The owners were very polite when ever they saw you. I will be returning again and also letting all my family and friends know about this wonderful place.
