We had a wonderful stay at the Twisted Toad. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and was spotlessly clean with pretty much everything you could need or want. Lovely living/dining area with super comfy sofas, a compact but well equipped kitchen, stunning bathroom with a fab rainfall shower and plenty of towels, and a comfy double bed (plus second bedroom with bunkbeds) upstairs. On top of all that, there's a lovely cinema room on the second floor and the most wonderfully relaxing hot tub in the very private garden area which we made great use of! Despite being on the high street it was very quiet and peaceful and felt like a real home away from home. Wifi was decent and the TV downstairs is smart with Netflix included and the option to log into your own accounts for other streaming services. Parking was always available across the road and check-in was very straightforward with all the necessary details provided in the cottage on arrival. Guisborough has plenty of shops, restaurants and takeaways and is really well located for day trips such as Whitby and for walks in the North Yorkshire moors. We highly recommend this beautiful, quirky cottage and very much hope to return one day.
