An absolutely delightful property, out in the countryside and was just so quiet and peaceful, but with all the amenities Scarborough has to offer just a short drive away! The cottage is like the Tardis, looked cute and small from the front but opened right up inside, the welcome basket was a lovely touch, for both us and the dogs! All in all a very well thought out and comfortable cottage, the jewel in the crown being the rather lovely hot tub! This is our second stay at the cottage, which I guess says it all. We enjoy staying at the cottage, the facilities for us are perfect. The welcome basket is always nice. We had an issue with the power on one of the evenings with the hot tub, contacted Paul and is was sorted the very next morning. We will definitely go back, it's a peaceful location, yet not to far from local amenities.

Lovely little cottage situated close to Scarborough although if that is not your scene and it was not ours, too busy you are situated in a peaceful rural area with plenty walks for the dog and ideally placed for exploring the surrounding area. The one thing to improve the cottage would be a more comfortable bed.

Loved the property, the dcor was very much us and the hot tub was fab. The welcome basket and milk where a lovely touch and meant we could make a cuppa and have some cake straight away to take in the location from the enclosed garden. Will definitely be going back.

We had a truly relaxing stay at Wagtail Nest. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, and set in a peaceful spot with lovely views that made each morning feel special. It was exactly the kind of break we were hoping for. Our dog, Freddie absolutely loved having the paddock to play in and spent ages watching the birds and the sheep in the field across the road . The whole place has a calm, welcoming feel, and we left feeling refreshed and very grateful for such a lovely stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, quiet, and a touch of countryside charm.

Brilliant place to stay. Quiet area on farm. Perfect area for large dog to run around a private horse paddock. Paul perfect hoist guidance in area walks, pubs restaurants. This is our 2nd visit and despite the weather, we loved it just as much. The cottage has everything you need, its so peaceful, surrounded by farmland. So close to Scarborough, Pickering, North York Moors, Dalby Forest etc you are spoilt for choice. After a long walk, the jacuzzi is the best to relax in. We didn't want to come home.

We stayed last October and gave the place an absolutely glowing review, we stayed last week and well. .......... it was still just as wonderful. Location, accommodation, cleanliness, hot tub everything was brilliant. As always Paul was helpful and lovely, cheers for a great week mate. My only slight gripe was the bed was too firm for us and meant we didn't sleep as well as we'd hoped but obviously that's a personal thing, some prefer a firmer mattress. Will we stay again? You betcha.

Had a fabulous week here, a lovely welcome basket awaited our arrival full of goodies for ourselves as well as our dog. Everything you need in this lovely quiet spot.The hot tub is amazing, the garden is small but still big enough for a table and 2 chairs to enjoy the sunshine.There is a lovely paddock to exercise your dogs in.Despite being next door to the owners you never hear them, but they are available if you have any enquiries. Lovely place to explore the surrounding countryside and parks. We were lucky enough to see deer ,owls and bats. The only downfall is that it's a double rather than a kingsize bed, but that hasn't put us off as we have already booked to return next year. A great place to distress and chill out.

Wagtail cottage provided an excellent base for us to visit Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and other local spots and being a couple of miles from the nearest village gave us a quiet and peaceful break which we wanted, Also the privacy the cottage gave made it easy to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day with views of rolling fields and distant bleats of sheep could not have been better, All rooms were perfect and clean with a well equipped kitchen. This is a beautiful little cottage, we've stayed here twice before and would definitely be back again. Just perfect!!!

This small cottage was perfect for our last minute winter break with our dog. Everything that we needed was there. Host was friendly and attentive if needed. Hot tub was great, and the cottage decor cosy and relaxing. Would advise arriving in daylight as the local area signal wasnt great, and affected Sat nav phone maps etc but the cottage is obvious from the road. Lovely stay and will go back as fantastic base for exploring Yorkshire coastline
