Great place to stay in a good location for pubs and walks

Foxes Den is ideally situated to access the beautiful villages, countryside and coastline of North Yorkshire. The site of 5 lodges is clean and secure and Foxes Lodge is beautiful with countryside views through a 2 storey window. We will be booking again in 2027 so that we can visit more of the attractions and natural beauty of North Yorkshire.

The Foxes Den is a beautiful secluded hidden gem with beautiful views and well equipped facilities. The little added touches were what made the stay even better. On arrival we were welcomed by a personal welcome sign, Cake, Prosecco, tea and coffee and juice. The fresh eggs from the farm hens and chickens are delicious. The lodge was immaculate and the hot tub was great. We loved visiting the animals on the site. We found the location to be very handy for local attractions such as Pickering, the steam train and we absolutely loved Thornton Le Dale. We will 100 be back, Thankyou for a lovely stay.

22nd May to 29th may 2026 What a fantastic week as Foxes Den This was our second time there, and it was even better than the last. We had incredible weather and there is always plenty to see and do. It's always such a lovely place to come back to after a busy day exploring. We loved feeding the chickens & Ducks and Seeing the sheep, we had a little visit from Mr Toad and Mrs Owl too! We had a beautiful Christmas away at foxes den. It felt home from home. Both dogs settled well into the lodge and enjoyed sitting in front of the log burner. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars an added bonus .

Love the new addition of the air fryer. My one piece of constructive criticism is please clean the huge hanging light. It is so gorgeous but those cobwebs need to go. The accommodation and wider facilities are excellent quality. The owners clearly have a great passion for what they do. We have stayed here on three different occasions and would highly recommend to others, whether it be for a family get away or a couples retreat.

I never thought we would find somewhere as nice as this with a dog in tow. Absolutely stunning lodge and a welcome hamper was such a lovely touch as were the dog treats. As a family we loved it, my son was devastated to leave his new friends Hettie and Betty. Everywhere is within 2030 mins drive so location is perfect, we will 100 be back. The only negative I had and it's a small one, was there was no big outdoor dining table I seen one of the other lodges had a big outdoor table so maybe they are in process of putting these in. But let me be clear this lodge is amazing and we will definitely be back we loved it so much, like a home away from home.

We have stayed in a few dog friendly cottages over the last 56 years, these cottages and the facilities are excellent, it seems like they have thought though what guests would like and what they would expect and provided exactly that, even down to an air fryer in the kitchen which i have never come across, there really Is too may excellent things to note here, all i can say is this couple have an amazing business model and experiencing them for ourselves i can say they are worth every penny. First Class experience.

Incredible location and scenery, great stay and very modern. Only downside for us was cleanliness, completely appreciate that bedsbedding was clean and fresh towels provided but unfortunately the rest of the place could do with a good clean, huge amount of dead bugs inaround, taps had thick green mouldlimescale and unfortunately this was the same for the kettle and coffee machine. Luckily was pans and pots so we boiled water on the hob for a hot drink. Hoover and a mop is also provided in the property so I managed to have a good clean around before my toddler played and relaxed, people should absolutely respect the owners request of taking throws if they would like pets to cuddle as the sete was mud stained and did have dog hair all over. Again hoovered over this wasnt an issue but people should have respect for owners wishes.

We had a wonderful stay at foxs Den. What I would say is that the main bedroom with such a great view, which was the deciding factor for us choosing the lodge was lacking a little in storage space I.e bedside cabinets and any draws for small items, yes we could have used the 2 nd room downstairs but we wanted to use the feature room, watching the sun rise in the morning through the amazing large window was spectacular. The lodge was very clean and well cared for, beautiful place and yes we would recommend it highly.
