We had a lovely stay in this cute little cottage. Comfy bed, lovely surroundings, fab hot tub, pritty much everything you need. Pocklington, Beverly and York all within 30 mins drive. Excellent garden centre 5 mins drive and worth a visit. We have already recommended to friends who are booking. Definitely will be going back. Only thing missing are 2 garden loungers for sun bathing and comfort, which would be perfectly situated in the garden area beside the hot tub.

I can only say depends on what your wanting from staying at hazels cottage. I found it to be a relaxing stay know big issues as far as the cottage or anything that is offered in the price, the stay is really good. The bus stops along the main road was very helpful if you wished to travel to York or hull or even surrounding areas and also a petrol garage with what basics you may need. Now to the off putting part maybe but sadly the road being a main road is next to the cottage and you will hear traffic a lot but everyone is different so that’s down to how well you can deal with that. For shopping or anything you can take a bus or drive 8 to 10 mins to collect that. For anything like entertainment there isn’t much if you fancied a pint or something like a meal there is a pub/Chinese literally across the way. Now I found the meal I had to be rather expensive for what it is but again that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go the service was good and it was clean and casual easy going. Overall for me I would say this is a perfect spot ifYou want to have a nice clean easy going stay over for a few days and want to travel to surrounding towns or your wanting to seek out places further away.

We had a fantastic four nights here. Very comfortable. Everything you possibly need in the cottage. Excellent communication with the host. Absolutely loved the hot tub and the garden. Was great to eat dinner and see bunnies hopping around. You can get to York very easily by bus for a day out. Across the road is a lovely Chinese restaurant and pub with very friendly staff. Would 100% be back.
