About Kingfisher Lodge

Kingfisher Lodge is a luxury ground-floor lodge in Brandesburton, East Yorkshire. This spacious two-bedroom retreat sits in peaceful surroundings with private enclosed gardens that are completely secure for your dogs. Perfect for anyone wanting countryside calm but with easy access to Yorkshire's best bits.

The East Yorkshire location puts you within striking distance of sandy beaches and traditional seaside towns. Fancy building sandcastles at Hornsea? Or maybe fish and chips in Bridlington? Both are just a short drive away. The hot tub is absolutely massive - big enough that you won't accidentally play footsie with your in-laws unless you really want to!

The accommodation features two generous bedrooms - one super king-size (convertible to twins) and one king-size with en-suite shower room. The open-plan living area includes a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and all modern appliances. We actually stayed in Meadow Bank as new patio doors were being fitted to Kingfisher. Meadow Bank is a more modern Lodge which benefits from a much bigger fridge and an impressive tv! The lodge was immaculate and extremely comfortable, fab on suite showers, the kitchen well equipped, hot tub well maintained and very clean, if taking a pooch the garden is very secure. Good WiFi signal. We love this site it feels very private and is peaceful great listening to the owls at night. Ali is very friendly and on hand if anything is required. Positioned close to coastal towns of Hornsea, Bridlington and Scarborough,Hull and York also not far. Brandesburton has a chippy and pizza place , local pubs and shops for basics. This was our 4th stay at Starr Carr and we will definitely be returning, thank you as always Ali, John and Sasha. This was
To keep it short, EXCELLENT ! Total privacy, every box ticked in regards to cleanliness, facilities and comfort. From the extra treats left for us, those brownies were delicious by the way, the milk and apple juice which were very well received. A better stay has not been had anywhere by ourselves and our two dogs who thoroughly enjoyed being able to run around the totally enclosed gardens. Would certainly not hesitate to recommend it to anyone apart from the fact we may not be able to get back there as it'll be too busy. Thank you to Ali, John & Sasha for making our stay so perfect.

We had a delightful stay at Kingfisher Lodge. The lodge is beautifully presented and has everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is huge and a wonderful luxury. The little items left for our arrival were such a lovely touch, the brownies were delicious. We will definitely be back, thankyou for a fabulous stay.
Fantastic accomodation spacious, clean, homely. Hot tub was well maintained and so relaxing after long walks. The treats the owners left for our arrival were very much appreciated the cakes and apple juice were delicious thank you for this. Very private and very peaceful just what we wanted. Overall one of the best self catering holidays we've had we hope to book again in the future. It was just perfect.

Kingfisher lodge is very clean and comfortable, our second visit with a third booked for next year. It sits on a small site and with the enclosed outside space feels very private, the hot tub is sheltered maintained daily and fab! The Kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfy its very spacious and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, making you feel very welcome. Its a short walk into Brandesburton 1mile which hosts a couple of pubs ,local convenience shops, a chippy, a bakery and also soon to be pizza place. Well situated for visits to Hull, Beverly,Hornsea,Bridlington with Scarborough and York not far off. All in all a great place to stay

Kingfisher lodge is set in very peaceful surroundings, the outside space is enclosed allowing for complete privacy, there is plenty of outside seating and a nice covered area on one side of the veranda. The inside space is very spacious, comfortable,clean and well equipped. The walk in shower in the on suite and over the bath in the main bathroom were the best weve ever encountered! The hot tub is large, sheltered and maintained daily by the owners who are very friendly. Brandesburton is only a short walk and has a well stock local shop, a nice 4 mile circular walk to Leven in the other direction takes you across fields, a map for this can be found in the folder. Needless to say we have already booked and are looking forward to our next stay there. Thank you Ali, John and Sasha.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher Lodge very well equipped and clean. Loved the large enclosed garden for our dog and the hot tub was very well received. The great weather made all the difference especially as the car broke down mid week and we had no transport then until Friday evening. Thanks to Ali for pointing us in the direction of the local garage and for picking up some beer for my husband We've already booked again for next year, to stay in Bluebell Wood, which looks great as well.
This was our second visit to Kingfisher Lodge. We had a lovely stay and will be back next year. Lottie loved the enclosed garden, we enjoyed the hot tub and loved seeing the barn owl flying over the field.

Lovely holiday lodge, would definitely recommend. It suited us perfectly. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Hot tub was well maintained and relaxing. The walkin shower was very spacious and always plenty of hot water. The hosts maintain the lodges and clean them themselves to a high standard. The garden is very secure especially for little dogs and big dogs alike.
This lodge is the best we have stayed in It was so private and peaceful Very comfortable sofas and beds and everything you could possibly need from corkscrew to washing line and pegs We saw squirrels and rabbits and plenty of bird song too We discovered areas of Bridlington that we never knew existed and really recommend the park and ride for there and visited Hornsea So many nearby beaches that are dog friendly Ali and John left some personal treats for us too on arrival We will definitely be going back as the lodge is perfect .

This lodge is family run and a lot of tender loving care has been taken towards the up keep and maintenance of this lodge. Lots of small details and no expense spared with the set up. The Arnott family are so friendly which makes your stay that bit special and a nice peaceful relaxing holiday. We didnt want the holiday to end.

Front gate latch the nut is missing only the bolt is in place had a great stay. Would be great if you were able to allow access to the meadow for our dogs but otherwise perfect.
Fabulous stay in spotlessly clean cabin. Super comfy beds & couch with 5star under cover hot tub. Complete dog secure garden. Great location for exploring the coast line. Couldnt fault in any way.
Our third visit to Kingfisher Lodge and just like the other two visits everything about the place was perfect for us. Very peaceful due to being set well back from the road and the garden is private as well as being totally secure for our dog to enjoy. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out this lodge is the place to go. The owners Alison & John will be there if you need them, and they have always ensured we have settled in before leaving us to relax. No doubt we will book again.

All parts clean and we had everything we needed. Garden very secure and dog friendly. Owners very friendly and helpful. Due to unforseen circumstances we had to leave early. Didn't actually stay in kingfisher lodge as there was an booking error however we stayed in the meadowbank lodge and it was absolutely amazing. From first walking in the door we knew it was going to be fantastic, a proper home from home and the weather made it even more amazing. The goodies on arrival were greatly appreciated and absolutely delicious. We got back yesterday afternoon and have already looked at dates for next year and the year after as we enjoyed our stay so much. The enclosed garden made it brilliant for our little dog and we could relax knowing he was safely able to play and run around without worrying he would get out. 5 stars all the way absolutely fantastic can't wait to come back. The Kingfisher Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. A home from home, which is clean, beautifully decorated and relaxing. The hot tub is amazing and with the secure garden you don't need to worry when the pooch goes exploring in the garden. Within 15 minutes drive from the coast and lovely dog walks around. John and Ali are amazing, friendly hosts and ensure you have everything you need, leaving little touches which are much appreciated when you first arrive and ensure you are happy and settled. This is our 2nd visit here and I am sure it won't be our last. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful lodge, the nicest I have stayed at and a great location fir the many dog friendly beaches that are a short drive away. Hosts Ali and John were really friendly and welcoming with little treats waiting for us on our arrival. We all had a wonderful time.
Just returned from our third visit and it was excellent as always. Lodge spotless and has everything you need. Since our last stay a few things have changed, the new recling sofas are great nearly nodded off a few times on them and the new simba matress on the bed is so comfy. The pictures of Kingfisher Lodge do not do it justice. The owners Alli & John have put in an electric wood burner and two new reclining sofas which are very comfortable. The lodge was spotless and everything had been thought of to make the stay there as comfortable as possible. The garden for our little dog could not be bettered and it is totally secure, he absolutely loved it ! Alli and John are very helpful and friendly and any problems are very quickly rectified. We could not have had a better or more relaxing time in what is a very high end lodge and we would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year !
