Beacon House, Sneaton

Beacon House in Sneaton was absolutely stunning! From pulling up outside to walking back out the next day. The propertt has everything we needed for our overnight stay and there was absolutely nothing we could find a fault with. 100 recommend!

Beautiful cottage with views overlooking the Abbey with the property precisely as described and even beers and gin left for us. I seriously cannot highly recommend this place enough, from the equipment, facilities, size, ease of parking, decent sleep, comfortable beds in all rooms I'd love to know the make of the mattress and hot tub which went down well with the grand kids. Was one minor issue which was no fault of the owner which was resolved in lightning speed. Cheers mate. Appreciate everything you've done to make it a special memory for us all. I could go on and write more amazing things but I'll leave it here now. You get what you pay for, we got quality.

The Wilson Arm we used for food and drink,really friendly pub, staff were so helpful,Muriel is gluten free,meals made for her, Whitby 10 minutes away Dalby forest 20 minutes away lots to do nearby

Fantastic place, the teenagers loved the bar area and making cocktails. We made pizza in the pizza oven, fantastic. The pool table was on a slant, so we didnt use this, instead used the table tennis table which was great. Hot tub amazing A few minor issues, nothing major Would go back if we decided on that area again The ice cream shop round the corner was fabulous

Beautiful holiday home. Well equipped and comfortable , The hot tub, bargames area was great. Kitchen dining area perfect Great location, for the local pubrestaurant and the farm shop for breakfast and ice creams. Would recommend and would definitely go again.

We absolutely loved staying here. There was lots to do in our accommodation for all ages so dont even need to leave the building if we didnt want to. The owner was accommodating and allowed us to go in a little earlier than planned which was also nice. Thankyou. We had a great time!!

Beacon house was the perfect place for us as a party of 7 5 adults and 2 children The kitchen area is large and spacious, providing everything we needed. The males in the group loved the bar and the hot tub was an attraction for all. Beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in, there was no noise as the area is very quiet. Contacted the owner over a mistake one of the party made and the owner replied promptly and was very understanding. All in all, I would recommend Beacon house for all ages.

Lovely family stay at Beacon House and from the moment we arrived we felt at home. Every part of the house has been carefully thought about and designed in a way to allow the best use of the space available. We all loved the bar area and the hot tub and we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Whitby is very easy to get to and a lovely place to visit but we did enjoy the quiet location of Sneaton after a busy day. A short walk to the Wilson Arms and also the Beacon Farm ice cream parlour and cafe were a wonderful bonus and we enjoyed both many times during our stay. We will be back, thank you for making our stay so memorable

Our family of fiveall adults and two little dogs had a fantastic week here. The cottage has been done to such a high standard and the beds and the pillows were so comfy. A few steps away from the cottage is a super pub that we ate at twice and behind the cottage is Beacon Farm which has a super cafe and makes the most delicious icecreams. The hot tub was very well used along with the amazing bar room...which was stocked with a few local bottles to start us off. We visited Whitby Brewery one day after seeing the Abbey and did some more sampling and had some lovely pizzas to go with the drinks! Seeing Whitby Abbey out of the window whilst brushing your teeth is a view you cannot tire of!

Fantastic place, beautifully decorated and finished, you can tell a lot of time and care has gone into the place, with everything you need for a great get away. We barely left the property we enjoyed it that much. Owner was fantastic, great communication before, during and after. We'd definitely return.

Beacon house is so beautiful, they have thought of everything to make your stay a real home from home. The whole family enjoyed it. Location is perfect, very quiet but also super close to Whitby. Beds are so comfortable. The outdoor area is perfect. Drews communication with brilliant. We would definitely consider staying there again. Thanks for a great stay.

Fantastic place, we booked for my mother in laws 70th. The house was beautiful and had everything you could need, so clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Great location, not far from whitby, would definitely recommend

We have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay in this wonderful holiday home. From the minute we walked through the door we instantly felt welcomed and comfortable. The house has such character and is beautifully decorated in a quirky style and you can feel the thought and consideration that has gone into creating it by the owner Drew, who may I add is excellent at communicating and so helpful with any prestay questions. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and the bathrooms easily accessible for the young and elderly. The hot tub is clean and warm and the outdoor area has something for everyone, we would love to return with friends to get more use of the bar area. The kitchen is so well equipped, we like to cook big meals when away and I always worry that I wont have the right equipment, but not here, there is everything you could need and more. 3 generations of our family have enjoyed the time spent making precious memories here this week and it really has something for everyone and we would book again in a heartbeat. We book and stay in alot of holiday homes with friends and family and I can honestly say this one has been one of my favourites and definitely the best equipped house we have ever stayed in. The location is very convenient for Whitby and the surrounding area, it is blissfully quiet and peaceful yet so close to all the attractions. We could not have asked for more.

We had a weekend spent with family for my sons 18th birthday, the cottage was fabulous and the location couldnt have been better. The cottage was very clean and had everything needed for our stay. The Owner was very quick to reply to any queries we had. Would have been good for the darts board to be situated in the bar area throughout winter as it was too wet outside to play. Otherwise perfect, would recommend to others and return. Thankyou

Had a long weekend in February to celebrate a family birthday. Absolutely loved this place, one of the best houses weve ever stayed in. So well equipped with top of the range appliances and tech the garden bar and hot tub were a huge hit with the whole family. Something for everyone little farm next door for the younger ones and a pub 2 doors up great food and very friendly service and super dog friendly. Great views down to whitby too. Definitely recommend.

Lovely newly renovated house it got everything you would need for a relaxing break. Very comfortable & furnished to a high standard. The amazing bar area & hot tub was a wonderful addition. The location is a 10 minute 3 mile drive into Whitby. Will definitely visit again.

What a wonderful place, right from when you open the door into the huge kitchen and wrap around sitting area you cannot help but be impressed. The inside downstairs facilitates are brilliant, you have the kitchen which is supplied with every plate, bowl, pot, pan and utensil you could possibly need to the sitting room and Woodburner with a projector to the rainfall shower in the downstairs bathroom and then the hot tub. Also outside is a fully set up bar which was excellent for 6 adult friends enjoying a post Xmas meet up. The three double bedrooms and the twin on the top floor were all perfectly appointed and very clean with all linen and towels and some toiletries included. The pub is only about 50 metres away, we went for a drink one night and Sunday lunch which was both very nice and reasonably priced. Whitby is a 10 taxi or a ten minute drive away. As for the owner Drew he was extremely responsive to any questions and very accommodating even letting us check in early due to the cleaning being done the previous day. One of the party left an item of clothing and Drew quickly posted that back to us at no charge, you couldnt ask for a better place to stay or a better owner, we will be returning in nicer weather.

This is a lovely cosy house. Bedrooms comfortable and house is lovely and warm. Very well equipped and set up for self catering. Everything you need is provided. We did have an issue, but this was dealt with very promptly by the owner who was very responsive.

Well what can I say! An absolutely amazing property. We stayed the first weekend of December and were blown away. It has everything you'd need and more. It's one of the most well equipped houses we've ever been to. It's the details that matters from an air fryer we took ours just in case to games to logs for the fire and complementary local beer. Location was brilliant, close enough to Whitby for day trip. The local pub was literally two doors down and has we'd known they did takeaway Sunday lunches we would have had one of those instead of doing one at home. We would recommend 100 and are booking for later this year.

We had a lovely week stay at Becans House. .couldn't highly recommend enough..5 star accommodation and facilities..would definitely return...

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property. It had everything we needed and was the perfect space for meeting up with friends. Communication with the owner was great very friendly and approachable. The bar and outdoor area looked amazing too, wed love to come back in the summer to make the most of it. Highly recommended!

The beacon house was beautiful, well kept with amazing facilities and we had a great time, the only downside was it is attached to a house that has 2 children whos rooms were above the games areahot tub and there was signs everywhere to keep noise down. Because it had a games room we took karaoke machine as we were away for a 40th birthday but were unable to use it for that reason

Absolutely stunning property, in a great location. The house is exactly as described and is the most well equipped cottage we have stayed in. We made great use of the games room and outdoor area, enjoyed trips to Whitby, Sands End, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay. The village pub, only a few metres away served great food and provided a break from cooking on our last night. We will definitely be booking again.

Perfect home from home staycation for 30th birthday celebrations. We stayed at Beacon House as a family 6 adults, 2 infants, 2 dogs and had such a lovely time. The house is decorated to such a high standard giving a mixture of country and modern styles. All rooms were clean and fresh. The underfloor heating in the kitchen is a very nice touch that kept us lovely and warm whilst enjoying breakfast on those chilly October mornings. The cottage has so much to offer for everyone, from the projector in the living room giving a cinema feel, the most tastefully decorated bar with games, the outside area with hot tub, darts board, ping pong and snooker table. There is more than enough room to socialise both together and separately. The kitchen was our most used area with comfortable, stylish seating allowing us to cook, relax and laugh together all in one room. The location was perfect for us, we were able to take our dogs out for walks, visit nearby Whitby and Goathland and even go out running although the elevation was a shock to the legs!. There are public footpaths located close to the house too and we felt very safe to use these both morning and evening. We were able to buy ice cream from the farm next door, see their goats and highland cows, and explore their well decorated pumpkin patch. My parents had the spacious master bedroom which they were very happy with. The other two double rooms were taken by two couples, one with a newborn and one with a 4 month old. Surprisingly, despite both babies being up through the night, this could not be heard from the other rooms. Drew supplied travel cots and high chairs which made our stay even easier! The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of storage. There are also gorgeous views of Whitby and the Abbey from the top floor bedroom windows. We had ample parking for 3 large cars directly outside the front door. Drew was very warming and helpful with his welcome text message and also making sure everything was okay for us after our stay. I have no doubt that he would have been quick to respond to any issues but luckily we had no reason to bother him as everything worked exactly as it should. We would love to come back and visit again!

Beacon House is stunning. Beautiful house throughout. The hot tub, bar and pooltable tennis gave us plenty to do in an evening. The house is situated on a quiet lane with a pub less than a minute walk away. A five minute drive to the park and ride made trips into whitby hassle free. Very well equipped house and very comfortable. Just to say the main bed is very creaky but other than that, perfect.

We had a fab stay at Beacon House, it has everything you need and more! Our family ranged from aged 1578 and there was something for everyone. Plenty of entertainment with the games room, the darts and pool table were a hit. The spacious hot tub provided relaxation after days out. The cottage is well equipped and beautifully designed with comfy beds. Loved the communal dining space in the kitchen. The farm next door was also a hit with homemade icecream and breakfasts and the Wilson Arms just a bit further up the road is a lovely pub for dinner and drinks. The location was so peaceful with country walks on the doorstep. We walked into Whitby and back one day through a gorgeous wood with stepping stones and streams, although a bit hilly! We only contacted Drew, the owner, once to ask a question but he was very responsive and helpful. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

Beacon House is a beautiful place to stay. The house is furnished to a really high standard. Everything was lovely, modern and clean. There are lots of great extras too, including a pool table, dart board, games console, projectorTV room and hot tub to keep everyone entertained. The local pub is lovely and the ice cream at Beacon Farm next door is delicious! Lots of beautiful coastal towns locally to explore, including Whitby, Sandsend, Robin Hood's Bay, and Saltburn. Would highly recommend staying here, and we'd love to come again!

Weve just returned from a wonderful stay at Beacon House in Sneaton and couldnt be more impressed. The property exceeded all our expectations its spacious, beautifully presented, and spotlessly clean. Every detail has been thought of, from the comfortable beds and highquality linens to the wellequipped kitchen that made selfcatering a real pleasure. The location is ideal peaceful and tucked away, yet just a short drive from gorgeous Whitby and the stunning North Yorkshire coastline. Sneaton itself is a lovely village, and we particularly enjoyed visiting the nearby Beacon Farm for the most amazing ice cream a real hidden gem. Beacon House feels like a real homefromhome, with thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay extra special. The garden was a gorgeous spot to sit and unwind in the evenings especially in the hot tub, and we appreciated the ample on road parking and easy access. Weve stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, but Beacon House is truly one of the best. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend it and are already thinking about when we can return!

Fab stay for my husbands 60th birthday with our older children and their partners. Owner has put a lot of thought into things. We did have an issue with hot water but a plumber was sent very quickly to sort it out. Mattresses are super comfy although the master bed frame is really creaky. Towels and bed linen was lovely too. The pub a few doors down is fab and has a good selection of food. Good portion size. The ice cream shop in the farm behind the cottage is great and we used this facility a few times. Would definitely go back

We had a wonderful stay at Bacon House. Enough room for 8 2 infants. Our children particularly loved their attic twin room. The house was beautifully decorated and furnished. The amenities were great stair gate, highchairs, travel cots etc. The bar & pool table tennis table were a big added bonus! Great location with an ice cream farm and pub within a few steps. The owner was easily reachable and helpful. Thank you, we would definitely come back!

One of the nicest place cottageshouse we have stayed in so roomy and spacious. The hot tub is in a sun trap of the garden and the bar is just so unique and such a lovely place to chill in on an evening. The owner has literally thought of everything, games, dart board, pool table sky, coffee machines, bar, cake tins if you want to bake and so many glasses, There is nothing missing. The house it just a lovely combination of country but modern still has the quirkyness you expect. Also great contact from the owner Drew from his welcome message giving us all the information we needed before getting there and allowing us to reach out to himhis sister if we had any problems which we didnt. Its in such a good location right next to Farm which has a little cafe and then a pub within 50 yards. Also so close to the seaside literally 10 minutes to Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay. Work really well for multiple couples or a family. We will defiantly be coming back .

Wow Wow Wow. This was by far the best accomodation we have stayed in. It was equipped to a very high standard. We normally eat out but this place made us feel like we wanted to stay in and enjoy the place. The bar was a great place to socialise as a family. We all really enjoyed the hot tub, pool table..ping pong table & playing the odd game of darts. The only things I would recommend is getting some plastic plates, bowls and cups for the kids as the dinnerware is so nice we were nervous of them breaking anything and also the outside toilet could do with a small sink or handwash station as you had to come inside to wash your hands, touching the door handles. This aside it was a fabulous family getaway in such an amazing property. Thank you to the owner Drew for the message at the start of our holiday and the welcome gifts. It was a really nice touch. We are already looking at booking for later in the year.
