Tennyson House is a massive three-floor property in Scarborough that sleeps up to 16 people. This spacious North Yorkshire coastal retreat sits between North and South Bay beaches, giving you the best of both worlds. Located in central Scarborough, you're just minutes from the beach. Take a 5-minute stroll to North Bay or a 20-minute walk to South Bay. Everything's on your doorstep - pubs, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Ideal when half your group wants fish and chips and the others fancy a proper pint. And after a day of seaside fun, you can soak your sunburnt bits in the private hot tub.

PERFECT LOCATION

Very spacious downstairs. Clean everywhere. Bed comfy. 2mins to peasholm Park. 5mins to beach. Undercover parking

We loved staying there but it lacked a bit of living care ie mould in one on suit , one of the kettles didnt work properly, no pegs to hang out washing , no hooks to hang towels when in hot tub. But other than that it was ideal for town centre the fabulous park near by . We would stay again lovely for all the family to be together xx

Tennyson House was excellent. Bedrooms really comfortable, great & well equipped kitchen, nice hot tub. In a good location too, near Peasholm Park. As for Sykes, I felt that in the early stages after booking, it was very difficult to talk to an agent with any queries I had. Became easier after the full amount was paid nearer the booked date.

Brilliant properly and very well located in Scarborough. Perfectly clean when we arrived. Plenty of cookware and dinnerware for a full house. Sofas and beds were all extremely comfortable and the tables and hot tub outside made for a great socialising space. The listing was very accurate, and as stated, there is only room for 2 small cars offstreet. However, the host reached out in advance to see how many cars we were bringing and left enough parking permits for us to park just outside the house for the duration of our stay. The host was very accommodating of our requests prior to our stay, and was easy to contact when needed during the stay.

We were very happy with the property, although it was stated you could get 2 cars on the drive, you could not, it was also very tight, struggled to get out of the car I would suggest leave the car on the road, most of the house was in very good state but the top bedroom had some sort of maintenance done and not finished of it needed painting over we would use the house again with theses little issues addressed,

Excellent accommodation for our family reunion 3 generations and small dogs. Beds were very comfortable bathrooms all clean, all the kitchen facilities we needed and we sat all 16 at the dining table for our final evening meal. The hot tub was well used but missed having hooks to hold towels. Location is fabulous close to Peasholm Park, North Bay, the town and South Bay. A fantastic place to stay we may come again!

This house is amazing. It's so lovely and clean. It is lovely to be all together. We spent so much time together in the living room all together talking and laughing it's made lovely memories. The beds are sooooo comfy. Great location. Great facilities. We will definitely return here.

We had a wonderful weekend away. The property is in a perfect location and exceptionally well equipped, offering everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner was highly communicative and provided detailed information prior to our arrival, including all relevant contact numbers should any issues arise. Loved our stay. Ideal location as was a short walk to most things. Loved the under cover produce and dining market which is about a 15 minute walk from the property. The welcome folder was a godsend. The garage door takes a little patience and the internal parking is more suitable for two small vehicles. Having said that, there is ample parking on the street and plenty of passes left for all.

Stunning property and perfect location. TV in front sitting room did not seem to work and shower in front bedroom did not work either, there was also visible mould in the shower cubicle. Neither of these problems effected our stay as there is a second TV in the rear sitting area and there are multiple bathrooms to use. Im sure this would have been sorted during our stay, but we only used it for a base. The condition of the house otherwise is of very high standard, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The garden area and hot tub is very much an added bonus to this property. Communication with Julie was fantastic throughout.

The house was lovely nice and clean. Its in a perfect area walking distance to the beach and a 20min walk to the south side. It would be nice if there were mirrors in the bedroom to make getting ready easier. Overall the house was lovely and there is lots of room.

The only issue was that we couldnt not access parking at side of house as lots of bins in the way. Luckily road parking wasnt busy and we had been left enough passess

Fantastic family weekend away at Tennyson House. The house is very large and comfortably fit our 13 adults and 3 kids whether we were all together or in small groups in the different rooms. Very clean and tidy with all the appliances youd need, a nice touch of having washing up liquid, washing machine and dishwasher tablets. Hot tub very clean, hot and you could even have a view of the TV. A few things to note, the offroad parking is a bit tight. If youve got larger cars youd only only comfortably get 1 in but thats no issues as passes are provided for parking on the street, a nice touch from the owners having discs for visiting other parts of Scarborough. Theres no downstairs toilet and the stairs are quite steep, so keep that in mind for any older family members. The WiFi was abit slow with everyone on it, unable to load Netflix on the tv. We had an issue with the central heating but someone was round within 5 minutes and all sorted. All these things were very minor and didnt impact our stay, just something to keep in mind. Overall a very nice stay and a very attentive host who had great communication.

A comfortable house ideal for a big group. Everywhere was clean and it was great to be able to sit together to eat or socialise but there was sufficient space to be separate if necessary The hot tub was a definite plus Parking was not a problem even for 8 cars and parking discs and scratch off cards were provided. We rang owner on arrival as key safe was empty she was very helpful and issue was resolved in minutes. House is only a few minutes walk from Peasholm Park and North Bay. There is a convenient shop, chip shop and even a bar although we didnt go in close by . Would definitely return if doing a group holiday again

The facilities were extremely comfortable, and there is plenty of space to relax. The cleanliness is amazing and it is a nice touch that cleaning supplies are provided. Would highly recommend and stay again!!

The inside of the property was great. Really comfortable and clean. Excellent information all laid out and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Unfortunately the outside space had cat poo right next to the outdoor eating space which had obviously just been covered over with straw, rather than cleaned up. The facilities team responded by text to us but didn't come to clean it up so we just couldn't face using that area. This was a disappointment in a house that cost so much to hire.

Tennyson house was in a brilliant location close to all the amenities, with lots of room for all our friends and family. The local management company and Julie, were so helpful, I would definately stay again. Scarborough had so many things to do, and kids and adults were entertained all week.

We were promised a stair safety gate for the bottom of the stairs for a two year old. It was not delivered. An animal appeared to have done his business near the hot tub.

The house fitted very nicely our needs. Nothing major to complain about. Small things which could be inproved. Wifi only on the Ground floor No instructions for the dishwasher. A cat that sh outside the back door every day. Availability of extra bed linen. We feel a checkout at 1000 am is too early. 7 adults and 7 kids to get out of the hose by 1000 was. Stressful. Checkout time will affect my next choice of house.

Overall feedback from our group was that the house is a great place for large groups to stay. Good location close to shops and bars but in a quiet area. Felt like a home from home. We had a lovely stay at the retreat! ! The owner was so lovely and obliging. We were informed of an issue with the dishwasher which we don't use but it was sorted regardless the next day with a lovely handyman. The rooms were so comfortable especially the sofas!! The hot tub was amazing and the fake grass an added bonus no sludgy dog paws!! Only draw back we found was no downstairs loo. The stairs were on the steep side but it was all good. The location was perfect and the chippy round the corner well worth a visit!! Thanks for having us it was just what we needed!! X

We stayed a few weeks back for our first family get away. The house was spotless and had everything you needed to accommodate a 3 year to 82 year old. Theres plenty or room so you dont feel your all on top of each other. Julie was fantastic and contacted me several times before our stay with all the information we needed to access the property and to check everything was ok. The location is great, 2 mins walk down road and youre in the park have shop, chip shop and cafe. Theres a pub 10 minutes walk away with a pool table. Keep going down the hill and youre at the beach. Fantastic house in a great location!!
