Bear Lodge,

Bear Lodge is a detached wooden lodge in Newport near Howden in Yorkshire. It sits on an adults-only site overlooking Bywater Lake and is set within 9 acres of landscaped garden, woodland and meadowland. Finished to a high standard with luxury fittings throughout, this waterside lodge sleeps 4 and offers genuine peace and quiet.

The setting is genuinely special. You can fish in Bywater Lake by arrangement, watch wildlife from the veranda or soak in the sunken hot tub while watching birds skim across the water. The wooden veranda is perfect for morning coffee or evening sundowners as the stars come out.

Inside, the lodge has an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with comfortable seating and a TV. The kitchen has a cooker and hob, microwave, fridge with icebox and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms one king-size and one generous twin plus an en-suite shower room and a family bathroom. All bedrooms are on the ground floor.

North Cave Wetlands is 4 miles away (8 mins). Beverley with its historic minster and independent shops is 14 miles (22 mins). Hull's The Deep aquarium is 20.5 miles (30 mins). York with its Viking ruins and Medieval Shambles is 28 miles (40 mins).

Bear Lodge suits couples or small groups of adults who want a proper break by the water. Hot tub, lake views, woodland walks and easy access to some of Yorkshire's best days out it's a strong package.
