About Railway House

Railway House is a massive ten-bedroom holiday home in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. This spacious property sleeps up to 22 people and sits just a short walk from the beach. Perfect for large family gatherings or celebrations with its impressive size and high-end finishes throughout.

Located less than a mile from Scarborough's sandy beach, this property puts you right where the action is. The town centre is practically on your doorstep with shops just 0.1 miles away. The hot tub is big enough for 10 people - perfect for that awkward moment when your mother-in-law decides to join your late-night soak.

The accommodation features ten beautifully appointed bedrooms: five super-king-size rooms (one ground-floor), two king-size rooms, two doubles and a family room with two double beds. Most rooms have TVs and one even includes a freestanding bath. There are five bathrooms throughout, including two with freestanding baths and walk-in showers. The kitchen boasts a six-burner Rangemaster cooker and everything needed for group catering.

Nearby attractions include Peasholm Park, Scarborough Castle and SEA LIFE Scarborough - all within easy reach. Whitby and its famous Abbey make for excellent day trips, while Flamingo Land Resort offers thrills just a short drive away.

Railway house definitely delivered on all levels, 4 generations were very comfortable in a beautiful home, parking was spot on as well, although there were 20 of us, we didnt feel we were on top of each other, the kitchen was mega equipped for a large part of people and exquisitely decorated. Thank you so much to the owners of this property for letting out this amazing house, we loved every single moment in Scarborough, making wonderful memories

Great holiday property with all facilities needed to have a comfortable break with a large group. There were 16 adults and we had a great weekend. The place was just as described online. The hot tub was a good size, fitting 10 of us in and all the rooms were lovely. The kitchen has all amenities to allow us all to enjoy a drink and cook a meal.

Just back from a fantastic weekend with 22 of us celebrating my Hen Weekend! The only comment made over weekend was more mirrors or even a couple of long mirrors but that was it . It had everything we needed.

Absolutely fabulous house, easily accommodated all 19 of us. Ages ranging from 2 to 80, it catered to everyone's needs. Gorgeous rooms with plenty of entertaining space and a table for all of us to gather around for a meal. Being in the centre of Scarborough, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this accommodation, if you're wanting a stay with a touch of luxury. Fantastic place
15 people used the property to celebrate a70th birthday. Found the place to be very clean and comfortable made use of most of the facilities didn't do a lot of cooking or clothes washing as we were only there 3 nights. The ladies in the group felt there could be more mirrors and hairdryers but overall an excellent venue. So good we rebooked before leaving.
We had a group of 20 ladies for a girly weekend, as we do every year. The quality and standard of the cottage was head and shoulders above other cottages we have stayed in. The booking process was seamless, and contacting the owner was very simple. The owner was very approachable and welcoming. The owner went above and beyond by not only providing 3 towels per person for the bathrooms but also extra towels provided for the hot tub. It was a really nice touch to have a hamper waiting for you when you arrive, as well as basic supplies like bread, milk, dishcloths and tea towels, as well as dishwasher tablets, etc. There is enough seating round the dining table with plenty of space, as well as plenty of room in the two sitting rooms. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable, clean beds and the decoration throughout was very modern. We got home yesterday and have already contacted the owner to book again for our trip next year!

We had a lovely stay in the house. The house was spotless on arrival the cleaners do an amazing job. The kitchen is very well equipped. Hot tub fantastic, we the family of grandparents, parents and children had more than enough space to be together or to have space. Close to the town, you really couldnt be in a better location. We have had a fabulous weekend staying in the Railway House, it is absolutely stunning! Before we arrived the owner informed us the Hot Tub was currently out of use but he tried his very best to get this fixed for us and kept us informed throughout. The only thing we felt was missing was a full length mirror being an all girl group, but other than this we wouldnt change a thing!
Fantastic property finished to a very high standard . All rooms are bright, airy and spacious and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate our group of 14 plus a baby. The railway line at the bottom of the garden and the proximity to the station may put some people off but you cant hear the trains at all in the house. Jamie, the owner is very amenable and was quick to resolve any issues we had . Great location , short walk to the sea front , plenty of places to eat close by and 2 supermarkets only 5 minutes walk away Would highly recommend this property to any large group
Excellent amazing property as per listing. Great hospitality and welcome generous welcome pack and friendly, readily available host when needed nothing too much trouble. Maintenance and cleaning perfect cleaning and fresh linen provided half way through 2 week stay this was really appreciated, excellent and non intrusive. A fantastic stay for big group of family and friends. Happily stay again.
We couldnt have picked anywhere better to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. Our children, their partners and grandchildren 21in all we all loved the house! It was absolutely perfect in every way. The amazing space! The beautiful decor! The facilities! Everything perfect!! The owner Jamie was extremely friendly and helpful. He obviously goes that extra mile to ensure that his guests feel welcome and ensuring the stay in this beautiful house is stress free and relaxing. Thank you Jamie your house is perfect! The property itself is gorgeous and very conveniently located to access the town centre and sea front. Unfortunately, the owners false accusations of damage means that I cannot leave a fully positive review. Fortunately, I have photo and video evidence to prove that the damage was there on our arrival so if you do decide to stay here I strongly suggest taking images of everything immediately on arrival in case you are accused of damage like us. I wouldnt recommend staying based on the negative communication and lack of professionalism from the owner unfortunately.

We cannot rate this property any higher, it wasis amazing and would highly recommend for any large groups looking for quality accommodation. On arrival the standard was immediately obvious, so clean and extremely well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped for the number of guests, with everything thought of. The welcome hamper was beautiful and very much appreciated. The location of the property made it so easy to actually walk down to the front promenade even with children! The group enjoyed the stay so much we will be returning next year!!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. Everything is finished to a high standard and plenty of space for a big group. We stayed as a family and there were 21 of us. The owner Jaime was on hand whenever we needed help and made sure we had the best stay possible. Would highly recommend this house. Just need a few long mirrors and a tv in the smallest room. The house is stunning both inside and outside. There is plenty of room for at least 6 cars small to medium size and even though its down a side street once youve driven in you could be anywhere. The house backs on to the railway but you barely hear the trains, obviously a big hint in the name

We had a very good stay, the one problem we had early on with the heating hot water was fixed very quickly by the owner who was very friendly. The welcome hamper was a nice addition. A property within easy reach of many Scarborough amenities.

Absolutely amazing! ! the house is breathtaking, the owner has gone above and beyond in providing all that is needed and to the highest of spec. The house is situated in the heart of Scarborough and within walking distance to everything. We stayed at the house this weekend 30th June to 2nd July for my daughter 40th birthday we had the best time at this beautiful house. There was even a luxury essentials hamper waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. I am not a big review writer but when a place deserves it, this definitely does. We had wonderful weekend at the Railway House. It is an amazingly spacious property and it accommodated our needs perfectly. Very central, once parked our vehicles we didn't need to move them during the weekend.The host was easy to contact and very friendly.
