Outside, the mature garden features two patios, offering plenty of options for al fresco dining. The front patio has a large table and chairs with a parasol, while the second patio is home to a luxurious hot tub with pop-up Bluetooth speakers, an outdoor seating set, and a charcoal BBQ.

High Croft is ideally situated for exploring the local area. The charming village of Scalby is just 1 mile away, and the sandy beaches of Scarborough are only 5 miles away. For nature enthusiasts, Dalby Forest is 8 miles away, offering extensive walking, running, and cycling trails.

Honestly, the place was beautiful and the hot tub was a real highlight. Being close to the beach and local shops made things easy, which was great. Only thing is, it didn't feel as private as we'd hoped - the owner staying in the annex below and stables nearby kinda took away that secluded vibe. Still, we had a good time overall!

We had a lovely stay overall. The house is stunning, with breathtaking views that really made our trip special. Everything was spotless and well-stocked, including little touches like spare towels for the hot tub, which was a nice surprise. That said, if you have family members with mobility issues or disabilities, this might not be the best place, thanks to the steep driveway-it's quite a climb for anyone with limited mobility. Still, we'd definitely return. It's a great spot for a peaceful getaway, just keep the access issues in mind if you're travelling with someone who needs a bit more help.

We stayed at this lovely cottage just before Christmas and honestly, it felt so festive and cosy. John and Lyn were fantastic hosts, making us feel right at home from the minute we arrivedand they were always available if we needed anything. The kids adored the hot tuband the dogs couldn't get enough of the big enclosed garden. It was a brilliant breakand we're already planning to come back next year. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage. The place is super warm and comfy, nestled in beautiful countryside. Plenty of scenic walks right outside! The steep driveway was tricky on icy nights, but Lynn and John were so helpful, sorting out parking quickly. Definitely recommend the place if you're after a peaceful escape!
