About Hazelgarth House

Hazelgarth House is a massive holiday home in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire. This accommodation is huge. It sleeps up to 28 people with 13 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. The house feels like a TARDIS - it just keeps going with multiple living areas where you can hang out together or escape for some peace.

Set in a large garden perfect for outdoor games, Hazelgarth is just a short walk from local shops and pubs. The location is brilliant for exploring Yorkshire's coast with Hunmanby Gap beach only 2 miles away. Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington are all within easy reach for day trips. After exploring, you can soak in the hot tub - just don't drop your prosecco!

The accommodation is split across three floors. Ground floor has 8 bedrooms (7 super kings and 1 twin) all with ensuites. First floor offers 4 more bedrooms (2 super kings and 2 twins) with a family bathroom. The third floor has a family room with super king bed and 2 singles. The kitchen is equipped for feeding armies with 2 ovens, 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers - everything doubled!

I had a wonderful weekend with my family all 28 of us. There were all ages from babies, toddlers to plenty of adults, this property comfortably catered for everyone. Bedrooms were all of an excellent standard. We were there in February but can imagine in the summer the bbq area and large garden would have put to great use. Thanks for a lovely stay for my 60th birthday celebration. One to remember!

Beautiful place exactly like described everything a large party of different ages needed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hazelgarth. There were 19 of us so plenty of room. Lots of information upfront and a thorough customer guide book in the house Great facilities and the pub across the road Horseshoe provided fab meals. Prebooked. Location good easy drive to Scarborough, Reighton, Filey etc.. Only downside for us. It was November, cold and rainy and the heating was not consistent, The main rooms were fine but in several of the bedrooms only the bottom 4 to 5 inches of radiators heated suggest a good bleed. Such a great space for family and friends to gather and spend quality time together. Amazing that there are so many bathrooms as sometimes they can be lacking in a house this big. But not here! Almost a bathroom for every bedroom. The living rooms & sofas are also a plenty and very comfortable indeed. The kitchen is great space with ample facilities for the number of people. Our second visit and I'm sure we'll return again!
What a fantastic house for a group booking, spacious, all sorts included, very clean and welcoming. We had the best stay and would 100 return.

Good size house for a large gathering as plenty of space but dont assume like me that all bedrooms are ensuite ! all downstairs bedrooms have ensuite toilets but have to share a family bathroom and shower room . On the middle floor there is a family bathroom and one small shower room, which also serves the top floor.I was surprised that the property was in the middle of a residential road and next to a garage, but there is ample off street parking. There are areas that definitely need a little updating, the utility area where the fridges are and storage cupboard in the kitchen were very grubby a lick of paint would make a huge difference! Its apparent that the house has been well used over the summer! We did have some issues with the middle and top floor bedrooms being cold on the first night but managed to sort out the thermostat and rectify the problem . Unfortunately we arrived in the middle of a storm so were unable to make use of the huge garden and found the games room garage too cold.

We absolutely loved the weekend stay at the house. It is spacious, well laidout and luxurious. Huge rooms accommodated our party of 26 people in 13 lovely, comfortable bedrooms. Plenty of showers, bathrooms and toilets. The kitchen is well equipped. Other facilities include darts, table football, pool, table tennis, hottub. Highly recommended. One slight negative is that the washingup bowls aren't the right size for the two sinks, and get stuck. Minor point but a bit annoying when trying to empty them. We had the best weekend making fabulous memories for my husband surprise 60th birthday.
We stayed at Hazelgarth with extended family and it was perfect for a large group booking. The house has so much space! There is sufficient parking and the location is well situation for Filey and surrounding towns. The hot tub was an extra treat...although we all found it a little too hot! The bedrooms were clean and most rooms had an ensuite. The games room was a big hit with the kids! The kitchen was well equipped and has everything you will need. We were really impressed by the space in the kitchen and the availability of a washer and dryer! Our only negatives were minor the toilet seat on the first floor is old and needs replacing and the fairy lights outside around the hot tub also need replacing we did try to change the batteries but the lights still didn't work. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay for large groups and families!

Lots of room for extended family. Grandchildren ranging from 17 to 3 years old all found something to entertain themselves, particularly the games room. Large garden but the only slight criticism would be we would have liked it fenced off, particularly as we had small children and two dogs. All said we had a lovely get together in a great house and enjoyed the area, Whitby, Hunmanby Gap beach, Skegness to name a few.
This property is absolutely fine and functional for a large group. Its clean and tidy and in a good location for beaches. We didnt have any issues or problems. And our point of contact was really nice and replied to messages when we needed something.

A lovely clean and comfortable place with lots of space and excellent facilities. About 10 minutes drive to the nearest beach. Perfect for large get togethers of family and friends.
Our whole party of 16 and 2 dogs enjoyed our stay at Hazelgarth House. Everyone agreed that the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for a large number of guests, eg 2 dishwashers and 2 fridgefreezers. The games room with table tennis, pool and darts was well used as was the hot tub, which had powerful jets. The property is a stones throw away from the Horseshoe Inn, which provides good value pub grub. The beach at Hunmanby Gap is a 5 minute drive away. It is a dog walkers paradise. We would recommend Hazelgarth House for a great family get together.
We had a fabulous time at Hazelgarth. The place was clean and spacious. 22 of us stayed and enjoyed a lovely weekend we were all very impressed. We loved the large tables which allowed us all the dine together. The sofas and beds were comfy and of a high quality too.

Beautiful house. So many rooms to chill in. Great for large party, plenty of room to all eat and party together. Beds really comfy. Would definitely rent again.

Brilliant holiday let for large groups. I love the way it is set up, with kitchen open to large dining area. The bedrooms are fabulous and beds super comfy. Lots of things to recommend the house. Took us a while to sort heating to downstairs bedrooms so they were cold for first 25hrs. Rest of house was lovely and warm from arrival. We were there during a storm and had a few issues due to that, but maintenance response was very quick and the person was very friendly. We would love to revisit as a group, was great. Thank you!
The owner was so helpful. Even got in early House really warm and bedrooms spotless Spec great Jacuzzi stopped working due to a power cut but rang the owner and was resolved in seconds. Price was ok but next year cheaper Paid 2788 but had 28 guests so worth it

The accommodation was excellent and fully met our requirements as a large family group the doubling up of kettles fridges freezers cookers etc meant that we were able to cook breakfast etc without long delays Every room was spotless the beds were really comfy and bedding was again spotless We had a slight issue with the hot tub not heating up but after making a phone call the repair guy was there within half an hour and didnt leave until it was sorted Julie our contact for Hazelgarth kept us informed with all the info we required for a speedy access We will definately be returning at some point in the future Thankyou for a wonderful family gathering

This house is like a tardis! It just keeps giving and giving when you walk through the door. Down stairs every bedroom has its own toilet and sink which was fantastic. The number of sitting areas is great and they are all comfy and welcoming. Plenty of bathrooms to share. Beds all really comfy and warm. The kitchen is very well equipt, everything we needed with a dining area with plenty of space. Plenty of parking and a lovely big garden for the kids to play in. With a hot tub which was an added bonus. We all loved it and the kids were sad to leave. We'd love to come again.

I booked this as a 40th birthday weekend for my partner and our friends and family, aged between 2364. My guests and I absolutely loved the house! The whole experience was perfect from start to finish. Julie, the property manager, was so lovely and accommodating with my many! questions and her communication was top notch. The garden is massive, the house is massive, the cashmere topped beds are amazingly comfy, the towels, ornaments and soft furnishings were mainly from Dunelm so decent quality and the kitchen literally has everything you need and more besides! 2 cookers, 2 fridges, 2 kettles, 2 teapots, 2 toasters, 2 dishwashers plus absolutely loads of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc etc The hot tub was amazing, the outdoor games room was fun and the various separate lounges were great for time alone if needed. Just everything was spot on! We loved it so much that we aim to be back annually at either this or another of Julie's managed properties. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Based on the price point we paid we would highly recommend this property, it is spacious with plenty of bathrooms, there are lots of separate sitting areas if you want some privacy. The garden was large and we really enjoyed playing games in the garden and eating outside. The house is close to local attractions if you have a car, there is a coop mini supermarket less than 5 min walk away. Things to improve, the bedrooms could do with numbering downstairs, hooks for towels on the back of bedroom doors would be very helpful. Some of the bathroom doors didn't lock or were very stiff. All the toilets seemed to have issues with low power flushing. However this house has to be one our favourite stays and we would highly recommend, lots of space, warm and cosy, and lovely hot tub!

Absolutely brilliant house for 2 x 60th birthday close to everything regular buses to Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough were a godsend 22 of us ages 8 to 79 were all comfortable without being on top of each other. Dining room fit us all in comfortably if needed a big house again would deffo return! Kids want to go back already
Great location, fantastic house, very clean. Fully equipped kitchen . Would recommend for a large group of people getting together, plenty of bedrooms, toilets and washrooms. Great size rear garden, would recommend a gate or fence either side of the house to stop pets and children escaping. 5 star from us
Julie was fantastic with us and was very accommodating it was a perfect house for us as a family. There was a total of 27 for us and there's enough room for us all to be together or if needed to go off and have some quiet time. Each room downstairs has its own toilet which is fantastic. Such a great layout. We couldnt find anywhere with space for us all to eat together so the kitchen and dining area was amazing. The kitchen equipment was brilliant with everything you could need for 20 people. We loved the fact that almost every bedroom had its own sink and toilet and there were so many little rooms to go and seek quiet time if needed we had teens revising for GCSEs and A levels. We had sports day type events in the garden as it was so big. Loved it.

This house is absolutely gorgeous. We booked this for a family holiday, there we're 24 of us aged from 7months to 82 years old and 2 dogs. The accommodation was perfect for us all everywhere was spotless. Plenty for everyone to do and sit. The big dining tables we're great so we could all sit together. Games room for the kids. We did have one issue with a leaking shower upstairs which was reported and fixed same day. The only fault we found was no TVs in bedrooms as the elderly ones in party like to have a lie down in the afternoon and watch TV in bedroom but other than that was absolutely perfect. All communication from booking to leaving was brilliant and Julie is so easy to deal with. Would recommend this home to everyone and reasonably priced for the size of it with amenities and location. Would certainly book again.

We had a fantastic stay at Hazelgarth House, booking was easy as was all the communications pre, during & post stay. The house itself was perfect, really clean, comfortable & plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub & the games room were fantastic, the dining area & kitchen spacious & clean & had everything needed. House is in a great location in Hunmanby & perfectly placed for exploring the East Coast. Honestly couldn't recommend enough.

Very basic interior with shoddy parts of the house and patched up bathrooms. Everything we touched fell to peices and then they had the cheek to try and charge us. Warning keep away from this property unless you want to go through the same hell that we did!
We had a lovely family weekend, four generations together, property is lovely and very well designed with layout etc, beds were so comfortable, kitchen well equipped with pots, pans, crockery etc. Couldn't use hot tub as there had been a power cut and it tripped out, owners are going to add to info book on what to do if this happens. All the parking spaces were also brilliant. All in all an excellent property for all ages.
